Kiwanis Club of Dublin Champions Access to Healthy Food at Dublin Food Pantry
A core tenant of the Kiwanis Club of Dublin is community service, and there is no better way to show that than by having our club members volunteer at the Dublin Food Pantry this past week. Our goal was simple: to ensure everyone in our community had access to nutritious food, regardless of their circumstances.
At the pantry, three of our members worked tirelessly to assist our Dublin neighbors as they navigated through the aisles of the grocery store-style food pantry. With care and empathy, our members helped them select items, talked with them, and ensured they left with more than groceries; they left with a sense of dignity and support.
What made this experience even more special for our members was that a former Dublin Key Club Member happened to be volunteering at the pantry! Their continued dedication to service beyond high school demonstrates the lasting impact of Kiwanis’ support and mentorship in the Dublin community by fostering compassion and community engagement.
The Dublin Kiwanis Club would love to invite anyone who shares our commitment to service to join us for a project or meeting. Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or looking to become involved for the first time, our club provides an opportunity to build a stronger, more compassionate, and positive local and global community.
